75 Hard week one: the four things that end most attempts
Almost nobody fails on day 60. They fail on day 4, and always for the same reasons.
Week one is where the challenge is won or lost, and the failures are boringly consistent. Four things account for most of them, and all four are logistics rather than willpower.
The first is the second workout. Two 45 minute sessions with three hours between them needs two slots in a day that previously had none, and if you have not put them in a calendar before day one, day three is where the maths stops working. The second is the water. Nearly four litres is a genuine logistical problem: it means carrying a container, planning around bathrooms, and finishing early enough not to be awake at 02:00.
The third is the outdoor workout in bad weather, which people underestimate because they start in good weather. The fourth is the photo, which sounds trivial and is the single most commonly forgotten item, usually at 23:50.
None of these need discipline to fix. They need a container, a calendar, a coat, and a reminder. This guide covers all four with specific setups, plus the day four slump that is well documented in every community thread and completely unremarkable when you are expecting it.
